OUR ADVICE

THIS SECTION IS INTENDED FOR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE SEEKING FOR MORE ADVICE ON FEATURES OF OUR GREENHOUSES.

        1) TYPE OF GREENHOUSES

 

  • IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A SMALL SCALE GARDENING, THEN "THE Smallest size" greenhouse (3,4mx6m) or hobby type greenhouse (width: 4,5m) WOULD be the best choice . THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THESE TWO TYPES IS NOT ONLY THE SIZE OF THE GREENHOUSE, BUT ALSO THE COVERING. HOBBY TYPE GREENHOUSES HAVE DOUBLE-LAYER PLASTIC FILM COVERING WITH A SEALED AIR GAP BETWEEN THE LAYERS, THUS PROVIDING A BETTER THERMO INSULATION FOR THE STRUCTURE. HOWEVER, "THE SMALLEST SIZE" GREENHOUSES ARE ABSOLUTE PRICE LEADERS.

  • IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN PROFESSIONAL GARDENING ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS, LARGE SCALE PLANT NURSERIES OR GROWING VEGETABLES (ETC.) FOR YOUR BUSINESS, IT IS ADVISABLE TO CHOOSE THE GREENHOUSES THAT ARE AT LEAST 6M WIDE. THAT WOULD INCREASE THE PRODUCTIVITY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF YOUR WORK.

 

        2) DESIRABLE inner CLIMATE (TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY) IN THE GREENHOUSE

IN ORDER TO understand WHAT ARE THE DESIRABLE CLIMATE CONDITIONS IN THE GREENHOUSE, IT IS VITAL TO KNOW, WHAT IS GOING TO BE PLANTED. THIS WILL HELP TO RESOLVE VARIOUS ISSUES:

A) NUMBER OF VENTILATION HATCHES AND THEIR LOCATION IN THE

    GREENHOUSE;

B) TYPE OF THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM THAT IS REQUIRED. SOME OF

    plants CAN BE Irrigated FROM AIR, HOWEVER OTHERS

    REQUIRE A WATER DRIPPING SYSTEM;

C) THE MOST APPROPRIATE HEATING SYSTEM (for example, SOIL

    HEATING, RADIATOR HEATING, HOT AIR HEATING / OTHER

    HEATING SYSTEM);

3) advantages of our greenhouses – a comparison of double-layer PLASTIC film greenhouses VERSUS glass-sheeted greenhouses

 

  • 1. the shape of the greenhouse (CURVED arches) is designed to ensure that ANY snow falling onto the greenhouse will slide off even if there is no heating in the greenhouse.

  • 2. savings on heating costs. the THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY FOR GREENHOUSE COVERING (DOUBLE LAYER PLASTIC FILMS WITH THE SEALED AIR GAP BETWEEN THE LAYERS) IS APPROX. 4-4,5 W/m2 * 0C; THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY OF ONE LAYERS GLASS IS 5-6 W/m2 * 0C. AS A RESULT IT IS POSSIBLE TO SAVE UP TO ONE THIRD OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF HEATING REQUIRED IF COMPARED WITH SINGLE LAYER GLASS SHEETED GREENHOUSES.

  • 3. THE EXTENDED VEGITATION PERIOD. THE VEGETATION PERIOD  INSIDE OUR GREENHOUSES WITHOUT A HEATING SYSTEM IS EXTENDED BY NEARLY 1 MONTH DURING THE SPRINGTIME AND 1 MONTH IN AUTUMN.

  • 4. DUE TO CHARACTERISTICS OF EVA FILMS WE APPLY, THE COVERING OF THE GRENHOUSES HAS TO BE REPLACED ON AVERAGE ONCE IN 10 YEARS. DURING THE 10-YEAR PERIOD THE EVA FILM COVERING DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY SPECIAL MAINTENANCE, UNLIKE A GLASS-SHEETED COVERING. (BASED ON OUR EXPERIENCE A GLASS SHEETED COVERING  NEEDS TO BE REPLACED EVERY 11 YEARS. ROUGHLY 10% OF THE COVERING HAS TO BE REPLACED ALMOST EVERY YEAR)

            4) CHOOSING THE RIGHT WIDTH / LENGTH OF YOUR GREENHOUSE

1.      IN TERMS OF COSTS, THE LENGTH OF THE GREENHOUSE  DETERMINES THE FINAL PRICE PER M2. COSTS OF GABLE ARCHES TAKE UP A Substantial PROPORTION OF GREENHOUSES TOTAL COST. AS A RESULT, the longer the greenhouse, the relatively CHEAPER BECOMES ONE 1 m2. THE PRICE'S PER M2 IN RELATION WITH THE LENGTH OF THE GREENHOUSES IS DEPICTED IN THE CHART BELOW.

 

2.      THE SIZE OF THE GREENHOUSES HAS AN IMPACT ON AUXILIARY SYSTEMS THAT WILL BE INSTALLED IN THE GREENHOUSE. IT IS RELATIVELY CHEAPER TO INSTALL AND MAINTAIN THESE SYSTEMS IN WIDER GREENHOUSES. (HEATING, IRRIGATION, ETC.)

 

3.      THE SIZE OF THE GREENHOUSE ALSO HAS AN EFFECT ON THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF AIR INSIDE THE GREENHOUSE, WHICH IS A VERY IMPORTANT FACTOR FOR GROWING PLANTS. SPACIOUS GREENHOUSES PROVIDE IMPROVED GROWING CONDITIONS AND FACILITATE EXCHANGE OF BIOLOGICAL GASES.
